Theodore J. Baker
Ted is a shareholder who concentrates his practice on criminal defense and the representation of individuals in all matters involving the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly Division of Youth and Family Services or DYFS) and adoptions.
Ted has represented countless individuals in a wide array of criminal matters involving homicide to less serious municipal offenses and Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) matters including abuse, neglect and termination of parental rights litigation. Ted also provides representation in administrative hearings concerning all manner of DCPP matters, including DCPP findings of abuse and neglect, foster parent licensing, and foster parent payment matters.
Ted received his Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph’s University in 1996 and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1999. Thereafter he clerked for Joseph M. Nardi, J.S.C. in Camden County. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey (1999) and the Supreme Court of the United States (2006). Ted is a member of the Camden County Bar Association and has appeared as a panelist on the television program Legal Line. He has spoken at numerous professional and charitable organizations. Ted is a member of the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Outside Activities of Judicial Employees and sits on the District IV Ethics Committee.
